Cessna Engine STC

 

Davis Aviation owns a Cessna engine STC to take the standard carbureted Continental O470 U engine to a higher horsepower with minor modifications. The O470 U is 230 HP @ 2400 RPM,  as manufactured.  With a carburetor (configured different) and balance tube change and some other minor parts, you get 252 HP @ 2625 RPM.  The prop governor is changed as well.

This engine STC is incorporated into Cessna 180 and 182 STCs now with two and three blade installations. We can supply conversion packages to you for Cessna 180 models (STC owned by Air Plains Services), and Cessna 182 models (STC is owned by John Jewell Aircraft).
